Adam's Peak - In The Off-season
Hiking is one of my hobbies. One day, I decided to climb Adam's Peak in the off-season. Because I have climbed the Adam's Peak five times. But, those were the ones that went to the season each time.so I decided to go on the off-season.
I left home with my elder brother at 7 pm. We decided to climb the mountain via Hatton. We reached Hatton around 12 midnight. Then we got involved in religious activities and started climbing the mountain. Our hope was to climb the mountain before sunrise.
Our first stop was the Sitha Gangula. We stayed there and rested. From there we resumed our journey and continued on to Indikatupana. It was about 4:30 in the morning when we reached Indikatupana. From there we took a short break of 10 minutes and started our journey again. Around 5:30 in the morning we were able to reach the top of the hill. Not many people were seen because of the off-season.
It was very cold at the top of the hill. With this, we could see the sun rising through the mist. It was a beautiful sight. After that we Sri Padasthana. Then at about 7.30 in the morning we were ready to go down again. Then the sun was shining brightly and the surroundings were clearly visible.
It was a very pleasant experience and I like it.
