My cadet life


 

                 My school is Mahinda Rajapaksha College Homagama.  I was the school's first cadet. We are the first group of students in the school. As a new school, our school's first cadet group was established in 2013. I was the first cadet of the school. It makes me proud.



          Accordingly, our team first camped in 2014. We camped at the Rantambe Cadet Training Camp. I was the sergeant on our team. We had a lot of activities to do there. Those activities are fun as well as very bittersweet. No matter how difficult it is, it is a lot of fun to face them as a team. Among those activities, shooting is one of my favorite activities. At that camp, we were able to take seventh place in the battalion.



          We also camped in 2015 and 2016. In those camps, we were able to get first place from our battalion. Therefore, we had the opportunity to participate in the All-Island competition. It's a great achievement for our school as a new school. It was also a special experience I had in school life.

My art life

               My artistic career began in 2011. My first art subject was music. I can play the flute well. But I am more good a  dancing. So I continued to learn dance. I learned both Kandyan dance and low country dance well. I also mastered drumming. Of these, I prefer to play the drums.                           I was awarded the School's Best Dancer Award in 2012. I also participated in dance competitions from 2011 to 2019. There were five All Island victories and several provincial victories.   In the meanwhile, I participated in dance festivals such as Independence Day celebrations, Gammadu Shantilarma, other festivals, and processions.  There are many such memories in my art life.  Many of them are fond memories. I will always love those memories.                   ...

                         This time, Lahiru was only too happy to obey his. He brought all his toys and arranged them as if they were all seated in class room.
