My favorite industry

 Paddy Cultivation




          Paddy cultivation is the main occupation of most of the people of our country.
Paddy is grown by the people because it is their main food crop. The person who cultivates is called a farmer. The farmer plows the paddy field before the paddy seeds are sown. 
           
           Transplanting is also done by the farmer to get a better harvest. Women also help the farmers in transplanting.
  
           After two or three weeks the farmer spread some manure. This he does to allow the paddy plants to grow rapidly.
         
            In about 3 months paddy plants begin to bear seeds The farmer has to be careful during the period. Because various insects begin to destroy the growing paddy seeds. Therefore the farmer uses insecticides to destroy the insects.
 
            When the paddy seeds are mature harvesting is done. Today there are machines to do the harvesting. Paddy cultivating is an independent job.

             I also cultivate paddy. It was a wonderful experience.

My art life

               My artistic career began in 2011. My first art subject was music. I can play the flute well. But I am more good a  dancing. So I continued to learn dance. I learned both Kandyan dance and low country dance well. I also mastered drumming. Of these, I prefer to play the drums.                           I was awarded the School's Best Dancer Award in 2012. I also participated in dance competitions from 2011 to 2019. There were five All Island victories and several provincial victories.   In the meanwhile, I participated in dance festivals such as Independence Day celebrations, Gammadu Shantilarma, other festivals, and processions.  There are many such memories in my art life.  Many of them are fond memories. I will always love those memories.                   ...

                         This time, Lahiru was only too happy to obey his. He brought all his toys and arranged them as if they were all seated in class room.
